We are committed to the care and nurture of everyone within our church community. Our hope is to be a community defined by the radical way we love one another in the way that Jesus envisioned and commanded.
Pastoring is about protection and direction. Jesus is our Good Shepherd and has set a standard for what good pastoring looks like. Jesus himself gives pastors to his church for the welfare and fruitfulness of the whole church family. The most natural way we experience pastoral care is in the context of our shared life and the deepening of good relationships. As the Renewal Project develops, so will our capacity to knit good pastoral care into all we do.
If you have any pastoral needs please drop by and chat to the Vicar or Church Wardens, ring the office on 01527 61543, or email office@ststephensredditch.com.
Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
2 He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
3 He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
4 Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
5 You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever.
Conversations started back in March 2023 that place St Stephen’s Redditch at the centre of a regional strategy for renewal in the Anglican church. The rubber is hitting the road now and so beginning in autumn 2024 we’re going to experience some flux.
